Hello all! Week 5 of the CCM is down and one to go until I hit Mexico! It is a little crazy how fast everything is going!
This week was seriously a lot of work. I definitely put my shoulder to the wheel every single day and tried to give it my all before the CCM comes to a close. Many hours of Spanish practice, Gospel Study, and trying to learn everything really took a lot out of me, but now I feel a little closer to being ready to go out into the field. Good thing I have one week left though! There are definitely a few more things that I still need to work on before I leave.
My Family! They returned from Mazatlán México safe and had an awesome time! I loved hearing about the different situations and just how strange some things are down there. Obviously a resort town is going to be different than Oaxaca, but it still is nice to get a glimpse of how it will be down there. And because they came home, I did as well. It was really cool to spend the week at my grandparents’ house again, but returning home is always nice.
I also went up to Morgan to see my companion, Elder Payne, again. We went to the devotional by President Porter and had another absolutely INCREDIBLE experience. It was really inspiring and gave me even greater motivation to make my mission the best it can be.
Spiritual Thought.
I just wanted to say something a little short that seemed to be a common theme this week, and that is to look for the good in everyone and everything, because to God they are valuable. Our devotional this week discussed pearls, and how the most valuable ones are not those that look perfectly round. Instead, they are those that are large and have their own unique design. So, for us to be “pearls of great price” in the eyes of God, we need to build up our faith towards Him and do what we can with our own abilities and personality to forward His work.
Pictures this week were just some fun we had with the zoom emojis!
