Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing fantastic! I’m sure things are going well, so keep it up! Here in Oaxaca things are going great as ever. We grow even closer to the end of the transfer and my time in Salina Cruz is unfortunately coming to an end as well. But it sure has been a ride and with this last week before transfers we’ve got a lot to do; the work continues!
Finding Miracles (And miracle finding) After a few hard weeks of not finding many people (or nobody), it was a breath of fresh air to have found a ton this week (12 to start, possibly more to come). We had a fantastic week of finding and a few miracles happened also. The first is that we were knocking doors one day and happened to knock on this house with these ladies and kids sitting outside. They happily invited us in and we had a great chat about the church and it really got them and the kids excited. They unfortunately weren’t able to come to church on Sunday, but we are still going to keep working with them and see where it goes! The second miracle was this referral from a member in another ward. She called us on Saturday and mentioned that knew a family who is interested in the church. Then, on Sunday, she brought them to our ward with her! They loved it and had a great experience. It was a huge blessing and we are going to see what we can do for them!
Rain Day On Saturday, there was this huge rainstorm that lasted the entire day and it was crazy. We got soaked from head to heel from pretty much walking around in river-streets all day long. Everyone kept saying that we were crazy to be going out, but that just made us want to do it more! Honestly, it was a pretty fun day and we actually got a lot done. It ended with us going to the baptism of the other elders in our district for a kid, Brandon, who has been in teaching for a number of months.
