Mission Week 68: Sick Week

Hey everyone! Hope you’re doing great! Or at least better than me, jaja. This week was something else with the work and still learning so much about the areaz and being sick the whole week long. But things are getting better and the Lord’s work continues!
Sick Week So my companion Elder Torres and I have been sick the whole week, and every day seemed to have a different symptom. We are pretty sure we got infected from the zone leaders because last week we had to stay the night with them after the zone conference, and both of them were pretty sick too. So for us, it hasn’t been the funnest week being sick and doing missionary work, but we’ve still seen a ton of miracles and have done a lot despite the illness.
Learning the Area It was week two in the area and we’ve gotten to know it a but more. There sure are many more towns and places to go, but at least now we have a sort of game plan oj how to manage it all. We also have this guy in teaching that lives about an hour away who is super awesome. His name is Gerardo and right now the main bridge is down that connects his town to where the church is at. We invited him (not knowing abou the bridge) to church and he says the trip would be 3 hours because of the detour he’d have to take. But wow, was he willing, “I’m leaving right now!!!! I can make jt!!!” It was crazy. Unfortunately it was too late for him to actually make it to even the classes, but these are the kind of miracles that happen in Emiliano Zapata!
