Hey everyone! I hope you’re well and jad a great week. Always remember that God is looking out for you and for the efforts you give you’ll be blessed immensely! I was studying a little but about that in 1 Nephi this week and wanted to share a little bit of hope with you all. I really do hope everything is going well for you guys. Here in Oaxaca it is going great. We had a lot of fun this week and things are coming along in the area too. Here’s what happened!
*Conferences and Meetings* For some reason, just about every meeting was scheduled to be this week, so we spent a lot of time learning and soaking up spiritual energy in the teachings if keaders and other missionaries.
*Zone Conference* The first one was our Zone Conference! Unfortunately, it was on zoom so we just sat in our little church’s secretary’s office for four hours, but it was still really good. I honestly thought this time the lessons were better than normal and I found a number of things I can use and improve in my own mission. I really enjoyed it.
*Safety Meeting* The next one was a elders-only safety meeting we had in Friday. In this one, all the elders of the city zones came together while the costal zones watched it through zoom (that was me 6 months ago, jaja). They had two guys come from the mission security department and gave us a training. It was really fun but also kind of scary with the stories they shared about other missionaries (usually just getting into problema because of severe disobedience or doing dumb things). But it was good and also cool to get to see a bunch of the other missionaries, like my former companion Elder Torres!
*Stake Conference* The last meeting that happened this week was Stake Conference in the Atoyac Stake. Once again we watched it through a broadcast (living 2 hours from Oaxaca City is rough sometimes), but the quality and production was fantastic and the speakers ever better. We got to hear Stake President Villanueva, The Oaxaca Temple President Martinez, The Oaxaca Mission Presidente Martinez, and Area Seventy Elder Kirim del Valle. The messages were great and very centered on the temple. It is always such a blessing to be able to see Stake Conference!
*The Work* A quick mention on the work here in the area, this week was another one of finding people and planning for the progress of others. It would be great if you all could pray for Daniel, Bernardina, and Adolfina!
Pictures! -This cool tree we found -The letters of this one town we visit, San Pablo Huixtepec -Me and Elder Tobler in zone conference -It was Elder Torres’ birthday on the day of the safety meeting!
