Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing great! It was a good and busy week here for us down in Oaxaca, with a lot of success and fun, but also a bit of sadness for what is to come.
*Baptism!* A miracle happened this week in that Jesús (Chucho) and Yilbert got baptized! We have been working with them so hard these past 6 weeks and this week we really went on the grind with daily visits to prepare them well for their baptism. We’ve really grown to love those kids and their extended family (who are all members) over the last little bit and it was really rewarding to see them make such a great decision. They were baptized and confirmed Sunday afternoon; Elder Jackson baptized Yilbert and I baptized his younger brother, Chucho. It was a special day and a lot of members came to congratulate them too. Even the old sister missionaries who first taught the kids were able to come and be the witnesses to their baptism, which was pretty special too. In all, it was a really good day and a huge blessing for everyone.
*Transfer News* Saturday night, we got the transfer call from the assistants that both Elder Jackson and I will be leaving the area. We were extremely surprised considering that we arrived in the area together and have been here exactly one transfer, but that is the way things go sometimes. It is sad because we have really grown to love this area, and I would even argue that it is one of the best areas in the entire mission because of how great the ward and house and work are. We have no idea where we are going to be going, but I think that
