Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I hope you are doing great and life is treating you alright. I’m still doing good down here in Oaxaca. The life out here on the coast is awesome and Elder Chacon and I are loving it all.
*The Best Exchanges Ever* This week was incredible in the missionary work. Starting bright and early Tueaday, we hit the ground running and had a ton of success. The zone leaders decided to do exchanges with us, but they decided to split up between two areas because of the long travel times. So Elder Roddy went with the elders in the Rio Grande area, while Elder Puente stayed with us in Zicatela. The good thing was that Elder Puente had previously been in Zicatela for 7 months, so he knows the area much better than anyone else. We had a fantastic day of work with many lessons and finding many new people to teach.
In specifically, we started working this week with the less active members because there are a lot of them. By doing so, we have been able to find many new people to teach including children and spouses not yet members of the church. While doing this, we also have been exploring the area and found many new people in this one place called Emiliano Zapata, where we have knocked nearly every door of the whole neighborhood.
It is safe to say that the work is picking up and after visiting and teaching with thr zone leader for a day, we now have a new focus and a new way to work in the area.
*The Sunday Miracle* The rest of thr week after Tuesday was full of teaching and working hard too. We got to Sunday and it felt as if our bodies were going to give out (it didn’t help that I was recovering from a sickeness on Saturday). We go to church, do our studies and then go to Sacramento meeting. Four different inactive families came to church! And they were the four we had visited in the previous week! It was not only a shock, but a miracle. The simple fact that these members came shows such faith especially in the hard circumstances that each is going through.
This work is true and I can testify of that with all my heart. I know the Savior lives and that this is *His* work. Miracles still do happen, it is part of this world and our Heavenly Father wants us to know that. *It is true. *
*Pictures!* – Us with the district!
Take care everyone! Have a great week! -Elder Ord
(Also, today marks exactly one month from when I come home. See you all soon!)
