Hey everyone! How’s it going? I hope you are all doing super and have had a great week! I am writing this email while I am at home! But I wanted to put out one more to let you all know how awesome of a final week in the mission was, and now how I’m doing being here in Utah again!
Elliot’s Baptism! So what was really cool is that I was able to have a baptism the last week of the mission! It truly was a miracle because after working so hard for the last six weeks and not seeing much success, the Lord blessed us with a wonderful gift to be able to see this little kid take his first step on the covenant path! This kid is the nephew of a member and we were able to work with him because his mom is from Norway, so we helped translate anything that she needed to know into English. However, we still were able to teach the kid in Spanish and prepare him. Honestly, he was extremely ready to get baptized and understood the doctrine in a way that I’ve never seen in an eight-year-old. So I have to say that I’m overjoyed and excited I was able to get to know him and participate in such a special baptism!
The Return Home Soooo… getting home was quite a long trip. I left my area bright and early Thursday morning and arrived at the mission offices in Oaxaca after the 12 hour bus ride. Friday we had our last day of the tour and the chance to take pictures again, then in the night we had our final dinner with the mission president. The next morning I was up at 3:00 am to catch our flight at 6:40 am. The flight arrived in Houston at 10:00 am and we had to wait until 5:00 pm to get on the flight going to Salt Lake City. So yeah, it was a long couple days of traveling, that’s for sure! But it was good nonetheless and still a great time getting home and seeing my family there waiting for me!

Take care everyone, I’m sure I’ll be seeing you all shortly.
