Hey everyone! Happy Valentine’s Day! I hope you are having a great day and a fantastic week! Here in Oaxaca it has been crazy as always and the time just seems to completely fly by.
Todos Juntos/Exchanges On Friday was the normal for the zone activity of Todos Juntos where all the missionaries in the zone go to a single area to work. This week was in the only other area in my district, Union Hidalgo. Also, the district leader decided to do a spur of the moment exchanges so I went with him and some members in the branch and we went around talking to a few inactive members. However when the activity ended, we had a situation with the transport back to the city because there were no vans or taxis to take the 10 of us missionaries back to the main city of Juchitán (about an hour away). We had a miracle happen and many phone calls later, we eventually got a special taxi to take us home. It was a huge blessing and a crazy night.
Transfers This week is transfers and my companion Elder Verbanatz is leaving. It is sad to see him go but the change wasn’t unexpected because he has been in Santo Domingo for about 4 months. Today he takes the ride back to Oaxaca city and I get to meet my new companion tomorrow on Tuesday. So we’ll see how that goes!
The Work This week was unfortunately slower than I would have liked it to go. We had a few days with many plan changes and too many canceled appointments also. And just to make things worse, the winds came in again and knocked out the internet for most of the town on Sunday so the attendance of church on zoom was incredibly low for both the ward and our people in teaching. It certainly has been a bit rough, but there are a few people who just need one more final push to baptism and making their lives better. Please pray this week for Maritza, Axel, Julio, and Nayo! Thank you guys lots, miracles have been happening because of your prayers!
