Mission Week 47: Triple Baptism

Hey everyone! I hope you’re all doing fantastic. This week was a big one for me here on the mission, and I am super excited for the next when transfers hit and I meet my next companion! It is going to be great, but as for this week…
Arely’s Baptism On Monday, we got a call from one of our people in teaching that she now wanted to get baptized. It was super spur of the moment because she has been in twchong for over 7 months now and we really haven’t made any progress with he this whole transfers, other than one family home evening. She is super awesome and just had a few doubts is what we were thinking. Anyways, she said she wanted to get baptized, so we worked the whole week for this to happen. Everything went pretty smoothly, and she got baptized on Friday by the elder who originally found her, Elder Chávez.
Gerson’s & Jorge’s Baptism We were busy busy this week too because the two young men Gerson and Jorge had their baptism too. They have also been in teaching a while and finally got permission from their dad as well as themselves feeling ready. Throughout the week we finished setting everything up and they got baptized Sunday evening!
Zone Activity On Saturday the Salina Cruz Zone had a combined activity with the stake where we all went to this town super far away that had not had the presence of the Church there for more than 15 years. So along with a bunch of members the 16 of us missionaries “blitzed” the town and contacted everyone we possibly could, including members who have not been ministered to in all this time as well. It was incredible and with a super nice devotional in the afternoon, we ended our time there and headed home. Now, it is nice to know that the Church has returned to San Miguel and missionaries will be visiting there more frequently too.
