Hey Everyone! I hope you all are well! This week here in Oaxaca was a super good and busy one, and absolutely full of miracles.
Jenga This one day we had to go to this super far away town to eat lunch with the members. We had the meal, but then the weather turned bad and started to rain crazy hard. So we rain inside and we were having trouble getting a taxi home. While we were waiting, the member pulled out Jenga and played for about a half an hour until the rain calmed and a taxi finally passed. It was pretty fun and brought back good memories of playing Jenga, haha.
Natural Disasters We had two natural disaster scares this week (one still in progress). First, on Wednesday we felt a pretty hard hit from the earthquake. It was fairly week and we only felt two big shakes, but it shook the table and threw us off balance a bit. Then, yesterday we got a bunch of warnings about Hurricane Agatha which should be hitting us later tonight. We have seen some rains, but nothing yet like how it probably will be with the winds. However, we are well prepared in case something does happen!
Zone Conference This week the zone conference also happened and it was super great. I saw a huge emphasis on learning and applying life skills like budgeting and just general conduct, and the mission president gave some good counseling too. The only thing is that we were assigned to do the mission-wide fast that morning, so it was a little hard to get through the conference being super hungry.
Exchanges with Elder Sifuentes I had a super cool chance to go on exchanges with my old trainer (now as district leader), Elder Sifuentes. We had a great day of contacting and a few good lessons. One was with this guy Irving whom we’ve just begun to teach. He is super awesome but wants to know EVERYTHING, so the lessons have to be incredibly detailed and we spend a lot of time answering questions as well. But I believe in time he will progress a lot.

Have a great week everyone! Take care! -Elder Ord
