Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week so far and everything is going well. Here in Oaxaca, Elder Tobler and I are staying busy and he is learned a lot on missionary work. It is quite a wild ride but really fun too. The Lord is blessing us immensely and always putting people in our way to find and teach and baptize. This week the two sisters in our district, Hermana Cedillo and Hermana Castañeda had a baptism of this mom and son who I got to interview. They were so prepared! I am really excited that they got to receive the blessings of a baptism in their lives!
*We’re moving??? (Or at least trying)* So right now we are in kind of a tricky situation because we living in this tiny town called Emiliano Zapata that is super far away from everything, and we are trying to move to this bigger town called Zimatlán, which is also a bit more central to everything. Here is an example:
*Oaxaca City*——————Zimatlán——–Emiliano Zapata
It really is just super far from everything. So we got permission from the mission president to start looking for a house or apartment, but wow is it hard to find one! The members in the Zimaltán Branch are also helping us but currently it just seems like nothing is available. But we hope to move soon. It will be sad because our current house is super great and the members are really nice, but for the sake of the Lord’s work and time, we must move to Zimatlán.
*The Work* This week has been incredibly busy as we’ve been traveling and knocking doors and having lessons at every possible second. Here are a few people who we’ve got in teaching!
*Bernardina* Bernardina is a wonderful person that wants to follow God and keep progressing in the church. Before, we were teaching her son Kevin, but after we realized he didn’t really care but she did, we started to focus on her. And her baptism is so close! We just need to work out a few things with her family situation before she can take this huge step in her life!
*Daniel* Daniel is this guy who pretty much started showing up at church without us even knowing him. We later learned that he is the boyfriend of a this one member, Otilia. He seems really sincere as well about wanting to progress but due to his schedule and ours not matching up even the slightest bit, we’ve had some difficulty with having lessons. But we are going to keep trying and hopefully when we’re moved to Zimatlán everything will go much more smoothly.
*Adolfina* Adolfina is another person we have in teaching. She is the sister of a member and almost has the same problem as Daniel with her schedule not corresponding at all with ours. But she is really great and we are trying to help her learn more about the Gospel, doing what we can.
