Hey everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I am out here having a great time in Oaxaca and even though the end may be near, there is still a whole marathon to be run and I’m just getting started!
*The Week* This week was a pretty good one here in the area. Elder Crandall and I have been doing a lot of cleaning (meaning that we have decided to stop visiting with a lot of people who aren’t progressing or just aren’t interested). Other than that, we had a couple power lessons with people like Bryan and Fulgencio. Bryan is a young adult that just randomly showed up at church last week and now we are in contact with him a lot. Last week we were able to have a lesson and put him on date for his baptism! Unfortunately, he couldn’t come to church yesterday but we will keep trying to work with him and get him better prepared. Fulgencio is the husband in an all-member family. He hasn’t had a lot of time with the missionaries because he was traveling outside of Oaxaca for a few years, but now he is back and is super interested in learning about the gospel. We have been working a lot with him and hopefully he’ll be able to take up a baptism as well here in the near future!
*Puerto Angel* This week we had exchanges with an area in my district called Puerto Angel (Angel Port). I was able to go there and try it out for a day with Elder Turley. We had a blast and were able to get a lot of work done, but wow did I get wrecked. Puerto Angel is one of the more difficult areas in the mission because it is a small branch, has a house without AC, and the whole area is just coastline and mountains. So the whole day we were hiking uphill and on dirt paths and whatnot. It is tough, but those elderes over there, Elder Turley and Elder Mendez, are making it work and having a lot of success too.
*Pictures!* -Some pictures of Elder Crandall and me -This tarantula that we found (while we were trying to kill a scorpion jaja)
Take care everyone! Have a great week!
