Hey everyone! I hope you’ve had a great week! Here in Oaxaca we had a super nice one with a ton of miracles. It was busy, but good. The week started off with some crazy exchanges with the zone leaders and went on from there! And then of course it ended in the best way possible, with General Conference!
Miracles This week was full of miracles. After a long day of work with the zone leader, a member family happened to find us and give us a pick-up in the evening. After many days of trying to have lessons and find people, the Lord blessed us by putting a number of people in our path. And after trying for weeks to have people attend sacrament meeting, we were super blessed by the number of people that watched General Conference! And just this morning, a member called us with a referral of the husband of a sister in the branch who wants to get baptized! Miracles do happen!
General Conference I was honestly super excited for this conference! I had written a bunch of questions and all of them were answered and more. For this one, Elder Torres and I watched the conference in the office at our church. We put it in Spanish on the computer, but I plugged in headphones to our cell phone and listened in English. Another huge miracle was the fact that with how bad the internet is here, it didn’t go out for us or for everyone else watching in the sacrament hall. I hope you all got to watch it and learn from the living prophets and apostles. Some of those messages really touched the heart, I can testify of it! But I think the coolest part was when President Nelson announced all the temples, then said the church would also be building temples in urban areas where getting to the temple is difficult. And boom. 4 more temples around Mexico City! (And one in the city where my companion is from! Toluca, Mexico). That was pretty exciting. Hopefully you all had moments like that!
