Mission Week 70: Work in Zimatlán

Hey everyone! I hope you are doing well. This week has been a good one for us and I’m coming to love the area of Emilano Zapata. The members are incredible and we are having a lot of success! I hope you guys out there are good too in your endeavors and lives. Trust in the Lord and the spirit will guide you! I know it!
The Work We have had a fantastic week with the work, there were a lot of new people found and a few progressed as well. But as always, there were those that just weren’t ready and we had to leave them.
The Work in Zimatlán However, the work has been skyrocketing in this town of Zimatlán, where we are also covering a branch in addition to our ward of Emiliano Zapata. But funny enough, the town of Zimatlán is much bigger than Emiliano Zapata and thus has much work too. We have been finding a lot of people there and have been received well. And just this week a miracle happened where the husband of a member has finally decided he wants to get baptized after over 10 years of knowing the missionaries. So Elder Torres and I have the privilege of teaching and preparing him for baptism, which will happen in two weeks. Safe to say we’re excited! Many more miracles have been happening in the area and we really have learned a lot in these few weeks of being here. I’m excited for what is to come!.
Pictures! -Just a picture of me with a black tortilla tlayuda, it was super good. The first good tlayuda I’ve had since coming back to the city. -The landlady’s adorable dog, Princess. She disappeared for a few days this week but we later learned she went to the landlady’s sister’s house a few blocks away. But now she’s back!
Have a great week everyone! Take care! -Elder Ord
